LSMW USING DIRECT INPUT METHOD

Hi All,

Please help me regarding LSMW using DIRECT INPUT METHOD with example including data file. I have to work on Direct method

Hi, direct input is merely a report program which takes the data which you uploaded to the application server and directly updates the business object. There are many direct input programs and they are all different. For example, there is one for material master upload. You need to pass certain values to required fields. The required fields are specific to what has been configured in your system, every system is different. Just know that what ever data that the direct input program needs, you will need to supply either from the data file or from appling default values.

You can use RMDATIND as an example. this is a direct input program for Material master.

Actually as Rich explained this takes the file from the applcation server

You need to pass certain values to required fields.

this can be passed via a file(application server) or by default.

well, the structure of the input file could be anything. what matters is how you map your input data into the various batch-input structures of the standard direct/batch input program (i.e. LSMW step 5 - Maintain field mapping and conversion rules).

Using direct input method...for example u r loading Material master..
