Long text (Notes) in FB70

Hello All,

I have a requirement to fetch long text in FB70 transaction through smartform. All the data is coming good except the long text defined in "Notes" tab of FB70 transaction. There is no F1 help available for "Notes" tab in FB70.

Can anyone help me in which table & field this text is available?

You need to use FM READ_TEXT.

Put a break point in FM SAVE_TEXT and generate one document to see wich parameters you need to use in READ_TEXT FM.

Thanks for your response. Could you please explain me how to read this in smartform.

Actually I have attached my smartform in FB70 transaction (in func module - OPEN_FI_PERFORM_00001030_E). I am not using any print program for smartform. only I am passing the data of transacton to smartform.

Hi Ashvender,

Actually I am writing a BDC for FB70 and in the recording, the long text in notes tab is not getting recorded.

So I am planning to directly update the database table for long text. (is there any other way by which i can transfer the long text field from the flat file to the transaction FB70 thru BDC? )

secondly, in what table is the long text (notes tab) stored?
