Hi,

The advantage of LIS reporting is it does not use whole different tables acccording to query, but aggregates data from events (order, delivery and billing) according to rules you defined. Then the data passed into infostructure is used via report library and reporting tools (Report Writer and Report Painter).

Rules are defined according to update group. Update groups are determined with the combination of customer, document statistical groups and sales area for header level and also with the item category statistical group for item level.

Reward Points if found helpfull..

Cheers,

Chandra Sekhar.

Hi,

LIS stands for Logistics Information System.

It is the information systems used to plan, control, and monitor business events at different stages in the decision-making process.

The Logistics Information System is made up of the following information systems which all have a modular structure:

- Sales Information System

- Purchasing Information System

- Inventory Controlling

- Shop Floor Information System

- Plant Maintenance Information System

- Quality Management Information System

Tools are available in Customizing to allow a self-defined information system to be created and tailored to specific requirements.

Regards,

Sreedhar.

LIS is old technique through which we can load the lo data. Here we use typical delta and full up-loading techniques to get data from an logistics application, it uses V1 and V2 update, it means that it was a synchronous or asynchronous update from the application documents to LIS structures at the time when the application document was posted.
