Learn ABAP by yourself

Hi

This question might sound silly but I'll put it anyway. I'm working with SAP in a multinational company as a PP-KeyUser. I want to learn how to work with ABAP. Is there any chance that I might install ABAP or an ABAP like Development Kit on my PC at home so I can start working with ABAP and developing simple programms like Hello World. If this is possible can anyone please tell me where I can download a ABAP DK and how to install it on my PC?

check the site http://www.sappress.com/, in some books is included a Snack preview with instruction to install on your local PC.
