Language translation

Is it possible to do language translatins automatic? I have to translate data elements and report texts from English to German and French. There are about 500 programs and there are lot of custom developments. To do this manually is very tough. Can some one suggest an easier solution? Any standards available?

Also, you may search the forums with 'Object Translation'. If there is no automation tool available for the same purpose, i am afraid you may have to go on with the manual process.

Hi Prem,

there is no automatic translation tool available in an ABAP based system.

However the translation Workbench (Transaction SE63) and the tools to do the setup (transaction LXE_MASTER) can be used to manage translation projects for mass data (in fact it is used SAP-internally to handle translation).

Please have a look at SAP note 1375438 > point 5.

Please note that setting up and using the translation workbench for mass translation is not an out-of-the-box approach - you need to make yourself familiar with the available tools - I would recommend to make use of consulting.
