What fields is used to determine a material which is invalid date in the MARA table?

Thanks, Two answers make me confused!

Are these following fields correct:

DATAB: valid-from date

LIQDT: valid-to date

so I have to check:

sy-datum >= mara-datab AND today < LIQDT

datab : Valid-From Date

something tat is out of this range is suppose to be an invalid date for that material ...
