Inserting data in to the Idoc using the Function module

Hello ABAP Gurus....

I need to insert the data into the IDoc of message type(orders) using the function module.Please help me in resolving.

Can you elaborate your requirement? Do you want to add additional data to any new segments added to the idoc?

I have devloped a function module to get the status of a production order is closed or a purchase order is blocked / deleted / archived.I need to populate the status into an IDoc and that Idoc needs to be sent out.Suggest me
