In Samrtforms U can assign a font to text using Character Formats.

Create a new character format in Smart Styles and assign it to the text field u required.

u r telling about smartforms but i am asking about the screen painter

is is possible to increase the font size of the text in the screen painter

Yes it is possible to increase the font on the screen painter goto se51->layoutscreen->there we hav options like utilities-> in tht we hav menu painter there u can give text length size. Check this it will work..

That is to increase the output length.sorry i didn't read your question clearly.I think there is no option to increase font size.
