Hyperlink in SMS

Hello Experts,

There is requirement to send Survey URL in SMS to receive feedback. But as far as i have analyzed, URL is being sent as it is i.e.http://XXXX.XXX.XXX/XXX/XX... & not as a hyper link (LINK) even if it is specified as a hyperlink in SMS mail form. This works fine in email forms.

The URL length is more than 300 characters & hence the length of SMS and so the cost for each SMS. I am just looking for expert opinion on reducing the length of the URL so that it can be accommodated & sent in one SMS. Please note that this URL will be dynamically generated each time.

One possible way is to create an external alias for survey related service in SICF. Even after creating alias, URL is still a long one as there are survey related parameters which have to appended after the alias.

Any suggestions/inputs please.

Regards,

Mathy
