How to assign function code to Input field in the Screen

Hi all,

I had requirement like i need to assign Function code to the Input field in the screen

like standard report DEMO_DYNPRO_DROPDOWN_LISTBOX

where for Field DEMOF4HELP-CARRIER2 in the screen they assigned Function code as 'CARRIER'.

when i am trying to assign Function code to the fields which i created, it is in Disable Mode.

Will anybody suggest how to assign Function Code .

Hi,

To assign function code.....If a screen painter is being used then in change mode ,do the following

(1) identify the field to assign function code

(2) Just double-click on the field and a pop up comes

If it is a custom program then we have the values as editable

for making it list box we have a field called 'Dropdown' in pop-up..just click on it

and select list box....

for assigning the function code a field called "Fctcode' is ther ...assign it there

Please note that we cannot assign a function code

(1) if the screen painter is in display mode

(2) if the field is a normal input field..it has to be a user interactive field like

a list box , push button etc

(3) if the field we are trying to change is of a standard program and we have no access key

In this case, i assume the field was not converted to a list box and it is just an ordinary field..hence the field for Function code came as display only ..change it to a list box and try again..

in the demo program DEMO_DYNPRO_DROPDOWN_LISTBOX in screen 100 if we check for firld DEMOF4HELP-CARRIER2 , next to the field "Dropdown" in the pop we get on double clicking the input field ...it is mentioned 'Listbox' ....so sonvert your field to list box as mentioned above and then we can assign the function code.....
