PERFORM GET_POSTING_PERIOD USING SY-DATUM '1000' ' '

CHANGING W-MONAT.

S_POSPER-LOW = W-MONAT.

S_POSPER-HIGH = ''.

S_POSPER-SIGN = 'I'.

APPEND S_POSPER.

CLEAR S_POSPER.

form GET_POSTING_PERIOD using p_sy_datum

value(p_0663)

value(p_0664)

changing p_monat.

CALL FUNCTION 'FI_PERIOD_DETERMINE'

EXPORTING

i_budat = P_SY_DATUM

i_bukrs = p_0663

i_periv = p_0664

IMPORTING

e_monat = p_monat

EXCEPTIONS

OTHERS = 1.

this FM will take the date , companycode , fiscal year variant as input and returns the POSTING PERIOD

check the possible values for fiscal year variant in table T009

He your are giving fiscal year variant as space , so i guess it will not return any output

This code is used to fecth the <b>POSTING period</b> in FI for the given date and the company code and the PERIV field(space here).

by using this code , u are geting Posting Period based on the values u are passing i.e system date and Company Code.
