Going to dump when using *Local file* option

In one specific Z report iam having this problem.

It is working fine when i execute but going to dump when i click on Local file button in application tool bar.plz find the dump analysis.

The current statement only supports character-type data objects.

What happened?

Error in ABAP application program.

The current ABAP program "SAPLKKBL" had to be terminated because one of the

statements could not be executed.

This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.

Error analysis

In statement

"STRLEN( obj )..."

the argument "obj" can only take a character-type data object.

In this case, the operand "obj" has the non-character type "P".

Information on where terminated

The termination occurred in the ABAP program "SAPLKKBL" in "GEN_FIELD_OUT2".

The main program was "ZPO_WITHOUT_GR_IR ".

The termination occurred in line 3856 of the source code of the (Include)

program "LKKBLF99"

of the source code of program "LKKBLF99" (when calling the editor 38560).

The problem is related to ALV fieldcatalog. do you have any quantity fields in ALV output. if so try to mention the Qty/currency Reference field and Reference tablename in the fieldcatalog for those fields.

then you will not get these kind of errors.

Could you try by changing the "obj" declaration to char...The error analysis is saying that because of the type of obj...this dump is occuring.

Could you try changing that? IF you did not try already.

its really intresting.

here in my case i have 10 fields related to quantity and value in output.most of them are defined with same fields ekpo-netwr and ekpo-menge.

infact in fieldcat i had to remove the reference table and field names for other fields apart from netwr and menge.anyways its working fine now.
