function module is inactive or cannot be used

hi all,

I am testing a Z function module. It has importing parameters and tables. But when I try to test it, it gives the following error message and does not run.

Diagnosis

The function module you just edited is inactive and cannot be used yet.

Procedure

The function module must be activated before it can be called.

The function module is Active and does not contain any errors.

open its function group in se80 and activate it.

hi kartik,

I opened the Function group in SE80. it was active and I reactivated it. All the other functions can be executed only one has the issue of execution and gives the error that it is not active as shown above.

In se80 when u open the function group, in the navigator window on left side right click on Function group name and click activate, it will not only activate the function group but all sub objects under it,

when try to run it and it gives error, double click on the error to see its long text, may be it will give u clue about the problem.

Actually this was a older function, that had to be changed and activated again. Then it worked fine.
