Function Groups are having Error while renaming FM

Hi Friend

I tried to rename one Function Module, during this i was getting some error. so i directly modified the UXX Include program. after that i named that FM with original name but i am facing below problem.

We have some Function Module in

Function Group YY_OLD_ENGINE. when ever we are trying to change some thing and while saving I am getting message "Unable to save due to database Problem". whenever you do a syntax check, we are getting error Message

that "Include Report....not found". If you are creating any new object, it is not asking for Transport assignment as well.

when i am activating the FM in display mode its get activated without any error message.

Please help !!!!!

Hi Anil,

It is generally a bad idea to tweak like this.

However, I would suggest copying the source into a new FM and deleting the older one.

Since this object will not be maintainable in future.

But I am facing the same problem with all FM in this FG.

I created the same senario in Local object there also I am getting the same error. I tried SE37 to repair the Function Group. but it was not solved. Please suggest some way to solve this. Thanks once again.

You "corrupted" your function group, so call SE37 and go to Menu : Utilities, Repair func. group.

If that does not work, you may have to transfer the function group back from a previously transported request.

Every time i am repairing the Function Group, i am getting the duplicate records in UXX include.

Can you suggest how to use Repair FG Functionality?

hi Anil,

in SE80 open the function group and save each function module in the function group. Do not activate them only save, one by one. When it is ready, activate the whole function group in one step!

when i am tring to save i am getting Informatiom message on status bar "Unable to save due to database problems". if you select NO while saving, Message is "lzbp_detailsu01 does not have any inactive versions" I donot know how to solve this.
