Hi,

How can we know whether a particular field has been used in other tables or not.

Use the repository system to find a field across tables.

give that field name in se11 datatype and click on where used list, select the check box tables and execute

the list of tables which are using the same field will appear

Use transaction SE85 (or SE84) to call the repository information system (look for database table fields)

Hi,

You just use Where used List for that field. then you will come to know all the places where its been used.

Hi,

Single click on the field and then Click On WHERE-USED-LIST

Button On The Aplication Toolbar.

It will show whether the Field is used in any Progarm, table ....so and so .

select the data element of the field and click on where used list of the field by selecting various check boxes in the pop up screen.

Hi Hema,

Other than where-used list you have other option. Goto table DD03L ---> goto Utilities --> table contents --> Display. in the Fieldname field give the <Field name> which you want and execute. It will give you the list of all tables in which this field is used.
