Check the prorgam RSMODPRF.
Steps to create a Field-exit:
1. Run report RSMODPRF
2. Run on the selection screen
3. In list Field Exit > Create
4. Give your data element
5.System will generate the FM FIELD_EXIT_XXXXX
6. Activate it.
7. Select your field exit and assign to your program and screen
8. Select again .. Field exit > Activate

Hi,
Thanks for your quick reply. I know how to create a Field-Exit. The problem is our SAP system does not install Field-Exit feature, and I wanna know if it is easy to install Field-Exit in an SAP system so that I will make a request to BASIS group to do that. Thanks again!

Ok, than you need to set the system parameter.
abap/fieldexit = 'YES'
You can see the system parameters in RZ10. May be you need to take a help from Basis guys for this.

Thanks a lot Naimesh! I will tell them this. However, if you know more details of how to do it, please let me know... Our Basis guys never do it before, they may be afraid to do so without advices or instructions.

It is simple..
Go to RZ10.
Select your system profile. Change mode.
Find the parameter abap/fieldexit .. double click and put the value YES.
Save .
I think you need to restart the server after chaning this parameter to make it efffective. I didn't do this anytime but I got this information when I had faced this problem.

Nice to see a quick reply to your question - however, the responder should have pointed out that Field Exits are obsolete and should in general not be used - look at all other forms of exit such as BADI, User Exit, BTE, Substitution, Enhancement Framework, etc. in preference to putting in a field exit.
