excise number series

Dear Sir / Madam,

We have created new plant for export which has excise grp 33 and series grp 22 numbering range for object j_1iexcexp is maintain for fisical year 2015 but still the system is showing error error in allocating numbering range for above object while creating excise invoice through J1iin. please suggest.

Apart from the suggestion already given, it is not necessary to create a new plant if the Business is producing the goods in the existing plant which is already there in SAP.  You can differentiate with a new Series Group.

The number range for export series group 22 is maintain with object j_1iexcexp and error is for the same object. for which i have maintain the numbering range still its taking some other range? how and why..not able to understand.

@ lakshmipathi - yes the plant is same the series group for export is 22.

Internal number range goes along with all these objects. Check table NRIV for your series group.

Please check how you maintained the number Range for export

For example:

No   Year   From No    To Number   NR Status  Ext.

01    2015   XXXXXXX    XXXXXXXXX

The issue was due to number which i maintain was 1 instead of 01 in numbering range.
