Error while releasing BAPI

I am getting the error "Set object type/component to 'implemented' first" while releasing BAPI.

i have followed the standard steps

Selected the method

Edit -change release status -object type components -- to implemented

Edit - change release status -object type components =to release

Edit -change release status - object type - to release

Save and generate

What needs to be done.

Hi Rachel,

You should also implement the object type before releasing it.

select the menu combination shown below in the same order.

- Edit -> Change Release Status -> Object Type Component -> To Implemented.

- Edit -> Change Release Status -> Object Type Component -> To Released.

- Edit -> Change Release Status -> Object Type -> To Implemented.

- Edit -> Change Release Status -> Object Type -> To Released.
