Error when doing rush install or rush update

Whenever me or any of my colleagues are trying to run the command rush install or rush update using Rush Multi-Project Build Tool 5.30.1 on Node.js version 12.20.0 (LTS) we get the following:

ERROR: Error: Error: EPERM: operation not permitted, symlink 'C:\Users\ \Documents\GitHub\ONEmasterdata\common\temp\node_modules\.pnpm\nexus.wdf.sap.corp+8081\bs-let\0.1.16\node_modules\bs-let\' -> 'C:\Users\ \Documents\GitHub\ONEmasterdata\common\temp\rush-recycler\node_modules_1609361010706\.pnpm\local\C%3A%2FUsers%2Fi516699%2FDocuments%2FGitHub%2FONEmasterdata%2Fcommon%2Ftemp%2Fprojects%2F0003-workforcePerson-version-migration.tgz\node_modules\bs-let' Often this is caused by a file lock from a process like the virus scanner.

Even after having temporarily disabled the endpoint security firewall it still gives us the same error. I wonder if there is an fix for this as this is a major blocker for us

Thank you
