Hello All,
I have done the z report in which i have called a function module so_new_send o send an email.
I am able to post an email from report to SOST transaction but from there a mail is not triggered.The status of the email is waiting for communication service.
it keeps waiting for communication service. do i need to enable some thing.
Please help on this issue.

after function module call, call this program to send the mail immediately from the spool.
IF sy-subrc = 0.
MESSAGE s027(vv) WITH 'E-mail has been sent'.
COMMIT WORK.
*- buffered emails can be released via rsconn01.
SUBMIT rsconn01 USING SELECTION-SET 'SAP&CONNECTINT' AND RETURN.

manually also, you can do from SCOT , here you will have a button "start send process" on the application tool bar. click on that & your mail will be released from the spool.

go to sost and
from the menu
Utilities->Start Send Process.
or do a submit on the program RSCONN01.
submit RSCONN01 with <parameters>.

Anu,
The report RSCONN01 needs to be run.
Be careful though BASIS may not have scheduled this for a reason.
Normally your BASIS team would schedule this but there may be a valid reason for them not doing it in a DEV/QAS system. For example e-mailing users in your business/customers from your QAS would not be wise.

Hello Anu,
In SOST Tcode, U can able to see the sending address and content of the email.
It will sent the recipient qafetr some time. It depends upon the seetings in ur server.
If the status is waiting it will sent to the recipient.

Hi,
it is because of commit problem. you have to send it manually from SCOT
in SCOT you can see the Button Start Send Process click on that. or else you have to code in your program ..
after FM call place this code..

Hi Anu,
The problem might me 1 of these as under:-
1. In the exporting parameters of..FM use
commit_work = 'X'.
2. Check for Sy-subrc of FM..
if sy-subrc = 0.

this report program is used to automatically send the e-mails that are pending in the job queue in SCOT or SOST.
