Hello
As its data issue, I want to make sure the below question,
Say, last month my_z_table has 10 fields across land scape (DEV QA PRD),well
Say, yesetrday I have added 5 more fields (15 in total) to it and transported to PRD, but unfortunately for some reason it has PARTIALLY ACTIVE status in PRD environent (whereas in DEV and QA it is fine)
Today to fix it, I want to delete the NEWLY added 5 fields from my_z_table (kind of retrieving last version) and re-transporting it (which has pnly 10 feilds) to PRD, hoping the table will show as ACTIVE state, not PARTIALLY ACTIVE state
We have 1000 entries in my_z_table in PRD, but as we just transported the new 5 fields version, the data is not YET started populating / saved / stored, i mean, say, yesterdat 999 records in that totable, today also same # of recs are there, no new entries are created in my_z_table
1) Pls. let me know that my impression is that if I re-transport the old version to PRD, the PARTIALLY ACTIVE state will turn into ACTIVE state, is my impression is correct?
2) Pls. let me know is my approach is OK / safe? or do I gonna loose all DATA from table?
Thank you

Hi
Data can be lost only if while adjusting the table in SE14 you dont choose save data. Did you just try to find out why the table is partially active a simple check will tell you the reason or read the transport log to understand the reason

Hi,
To keep data as it is even after deleting fields, when you are adjusting the table structure after deleting fields make sure that check-box (SAVE DATA) should be checked.
Thanks & Regards,

Hi,
Have you done "Database Adjustment" in Database Utilities (SE14) after making changes in table structure???
This is mandatory to adjust database in database utilities after making changes in table structure. This can be done through SE14.

Hi,
If you don't want to the five fields, you can remove and activate your z structure! Data lost can't be happen!
- If you want five fields again, just adjust it in SE14 and re-transport it again
