Hi all,

I have been given requirement where in I have to disable the copy image functionality from the payslip which has been developed using SAP adobeforms .

Actually they have  company seal on the payslip which they do not want it to get copied .

Normally in PDF file if we do a right click on any image it gives an option of copy image as a standard functionality . We want to disable this.

Any idea how to proceed ? Where exacly do I need to change (In the form or print program or any ADS configuration setting)

Regards,

Syed

Hi

You can restrict the options of copying /editing in SAP Adobe forms by going to Form properties -> PDF Security tab

Refer to link http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/9.0/designerHelp/index.htm?content=000635.html for more information on the security options for SAP adobe forms.

However when a user sees the screen he can always take a print screen and easily have the image.

If you want to get rid of this too then you have to set the presence of the image field in the SAP adobe forms as Visible (Print Only), by doing so the image will be only visible during printing.

Hope this helps.

Hi Tooshar,

Thanks for your reply.

I went through the link given by you .It says

Select one or both of the following options:

  • Enable copying of text, images, and other content
  • Enable plaintext metadata

The first option is regarding  enabling or disabling of copying of text, images, and other content . This is what is my requirement .

For this they have said as follows

  • Select File > Form Properties.

Click the PDF Security tab and, in the Permissions area, do these tasks:

I want to make this change while creating the PDF . Where exactly I have to make the change  (In the adobe form(SFP) or the print program ) ? Please help me .

Regards,

Syed

Hi,

There will be three tabs when you go inside adobe forms using SFP transaction.

Properties, Context and Layout.

Go to the Layout tab -> Edit -> Form Properties.

Due to unavailability of a SAP system having ADS, so i am not able to give you the detail level of screen shots.

But when you follow Layout -> Edit -> Form properties further you can carry on the steps as mentioned in the link.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
