Hello SDNites,

I am working on environment where I do not have authorisation to change values in ABAP debugger.

Is there any way we can bypass the same. Something like debugging the debugger and byspassing the message that "You do not have authorisation to make changes".

Regards,

Abhi

I think that's NOT possible. If this possible then all production users can change the values during runtime in production.

If your role does not have authorization to change values during debugging then you cannot change it.

So do we have a debugger to debug a debugger? Will that process be called de-debugging

I think this can be mathematically reduced to just "bugging", which nicely describes the effect of this question

Hi Abhi,
I never had a thought when I saw your thread debugging debugger.
I had a trial on this in ECC 6.0. where ABAP debugger is opened in another session. There i have given /h and clicked one tab. It absolutely takes you to old debugger for the action we made.
Friends who have not tried yet , just try it. Thanks Venkat.

Hello Venkat,

Even you are able to start the debugging for the actions performed in the actual debugger, for someone who dont have authorizations to change anything in the debugger will not be able to by pass the authorization checks even in the debugger for the debugger So i dont see this would be of any use to the OP.

I think only Chuck Norris will know a solution for this problem. Unfortunately atm he's on holiday on the sun.
