hi
i need to define a field in transparent table which should be of type p with 2 decimal places.
the values in this field will be like 12.5,4.25 etc.
this field is not a currency or quantity field so i cant use the data elemets wth similar features.
can ny1 suggest a suitable standard data element or domain for this.
i tried to use the FLTP type but the maintainence screen of table does not show the rate field(FLTP types r not allowed).

points 'll b rewarded

Hi,
you can find a lot of fields with type p 2 decimals if you go to SE11 and search for datatypes with the relevant type.
This functionaltity is inside the searchfunction for the dataelelement.

Hai,
Use Data Type DEC and no.of decimal places as 2.
There are lot many of this type.
Data Element Acitve/Inactive Domain
RR_SAKSH A DECV19_2
RR_SBNTR A DECV19_2
RR_SBNTV A DECV19_2
RR_SBS1R A DECV19_2
RR_SBS1V A DECV19_2
RR_SBS2R A DECV19_2
RR_SBS2V A DECV19_2
RR_SBSUR A DECV19_2
RR_SBSUV A DECV19_2

Hi,
Better u create ur own dataelement with the type pack with 2 decimal places in se11 and use tht dataelement in defining ur field.
Reward points if it solves ur query or answer is helpful
Thanks
