Data element fieldlabel problem

Hi all,

I have created a dataelement ZZOOBLE and domain as char1.

in field label section i have given short text (8) as outstand,

mediumtext (10) as outstndin,

longtext(30) as Outstnading Bank loan amount exists

heading(35) as Outstnading Bank loan amount exists

now the probelm is when i go to table in se11 selection screen it s displaying the field label as OUTSTANDIN.

i need to display the longtext as field label . how can i do that.

Hi,

Change the "Short Description"(not the field label) of the Data element to the required text and activate.

Hi,

Please remove all the texts in the field labels of the data element except the one which is required.

E.g,Here we can remove the length(8) , (10) texts.

By default the selection screen will pick up the available text maintained for the nearest length(In this case,the text maintained for lenght 30).

NB:I believe the text will be truncated a bit due to field length restriction on the screen,so we need to rephrase the text accordingly
