Data Archiving: Develop Delete Programm incl. a Protocol

Hi there,

i am new into SAP in general and ABAP in special. Now i am developing an delete programm for my first archiving object. The write programm seems to work properly and the delete programm works also as far as i checked within the effected tables (it uses many of them and also an archiving class ).

I developed the delete programm according to BC_SFLIGHT_DEL and now have a question:

how can i add a protocol function like the one that is used in the writing programm (i want to see the deleted data objects in the application log)?

Would calling ARCHIVE_PROTOCOL_INIT, *collect, *write work?

any help is appreciated.
