Hi Sam,
scat script is generally used for Mass user creation or testing. for creation of roles, you have to go for, t-code: "pfcg". here you can assing, the menus, necessary authorization objects and change there permissions etc.
hope this info helps you!

raj.

Hi Sam,
Yes it is possible to create multiple roles using SCAT script. You need to record PFCG transaction. Please open the below link which would help you in creating a SCAT Script.
http://www.sapsecurityonline.com/tutorials/scat.htm
The link shows an example for recording SU01, instead you need to record PFCG and proceed accordingly.
Please revert back if you need any information on this.
Please award points if it is useful.

It is possible and it is NOT possible depending on the scenario. I have tried to use SCAT in the past to create mass roles with many (different combination) Auth objects and different auth values, but it was not at all easy, however, I created approx 100+ roles (using CATT script) with the same auth object but different auth values and it worked fine.
So it all depends on the scenario.

Most of the tasks in role creation can be done using cat, but you might have to split it into mutiple tasks (more than one Cat with each their own part of the creation task). One thing that is hard (and failes many times) is to populate the OrgLevels with a CAT

Hi Soma,
SCAT doesn't work in ECC 6.0 . You will have to use SECATT.
In ECC 5.0 go to transaction SCC4 and check if SCAT is allowed or not.
If you need any assistance on SECATT please revert back.
Thanks

Hi Sam,
If it is ECC 5.0 i would suggest you to go for SCAT as it is easy to write the script.
But if you still want to run SECATT, the link given by Soma is the best way i can suggest. Please give me you personal ID if you want me to mail screenshots of SECATT.
Please award points if it is useful.
Thanks n Regards,

Hi Sam,
Yes, Its the same way you use SECATT to create Roles as you sue it for creating users. The only thing that chenges is, You record PFCG instead of SU01.
Let me know if you come accross any problem in this process.
Plz reward points if it is useful.
Thanks & Regards,
Santosh
