hi Experts,

I have updated a report which was using particular print page format ( X_65_200 ) for printing. Now As I have added 1 more coloumn, the new column is comming out of page. If I use X_65_255 , then al the columns are on page but the fonts size is less. I have created new format lets say X_65_230 & copy actions of X_65_200 into it. But the new format shows like my old format. How do I set my width & length & margins. Its urgent thanks.

Plz help. its urgent.

Thanks

Khan .

Hi,

You can maintain a new page format from transaction SPAD. Goto the Device Type tab and there you will see the option for Page Format Maintenance (if you are authorized).

Cheers,

Aditya

Hi,

Now that you have created the page format, you need to assign to a Format Type and then assign format type to the printer*.

Create Format Type (button above creation of Page Format in SPAD)

Every printer has a device type assigned.

Hence find the printer's device type as follows:

SPAD -> Output device (enter your printer) -> Device Attributes Tab (note downt he device type)

Now go back to SPAD and Device Types Tab Enter the device type your found above and click on device types button

Click on Formats button on application toolbar

Click on Create button on application toolbar

Select the newly created format type in pop up

Now you should be able to use the new page format in your print outs.

Hi,

You need to setup the actions for the format attached to the printer.

Go to the Format in the device type.

You will see two tabs - Attributes and Formats

Now Create the Actions for the format.

To do this, copy the actions from an existing /working format.

Actions needed are like:

Printer initialization

Reset after exit

Cover page

End of page

etc.

Once the action is set up then the light should become green.

Aditya

Hi,

Select the Action you want to copy e.g. Printer initialization and then click on the Copy Action button on application toolbar.

In the From section, keep the device type the same and select the Format which is working for you.

Cheers,

Aditya

hi aditya,

Wat is the use of making new Page format if V r copying old action into new. My old format is X_65_200 which is showing big print. I need smaller smaller print so I made X_65_245 by copying actions of X_65_200 . And at the time f taking print with new format it shows big print. From wherever copy the action it will display print according to that. So where Would I define that it will tak this space on page only.

Urgent

Thanks.
