Create RFC for delivery creation

Hi everyone. Can anyone help me with my problem? We have a requirement to do delivery creation via a web as the front end and SAP as the backend. My problem is I think there is no BAPI available that is remotely enabled to create delivery.

My question is, can I just create an FM that is remotely enabled and put a BDC to create delivery in SAP? Is this possible? Let me know what your thoughts on this. Any idea will be a great help. Thanks.

You can use IDOC_INPUT_DESADV1 to create delivery in SAP

Is this also ng RFC? If yes, do you know how we are going to call that idoc from java?

It is RFC enabled so you fill structure of IDOC segments and call it from JAVA.

I saw the IDOC_INPUT_DESADV1 and the only import parameters is INPUT_METHOD and MASS_PROCESSING. Is this the only parameter I need to give to the java developer? Please enlighten as this is my 1st time to use rfc ... tnx

There are TABLE parameters in which you have to fill values. If you dont know how IDOCs and segments are linked then it will be difficult for you to understand. I dont ahve examples here but you can search this forum where enough examples are available for use of IDOCs in general.

I too would like to be able to create an outbound delivery without reference via IDOC or BAPI. Is there a standard process to meet this requirement?
