Corbu Theme in Eclipse

Hello ADT team,

in many documents (i.e. ) you can see the GUI Corbu theme in Eclipse. Maybe I'm too blind, but I cannot find the switch, the GUI is still embedded with the "regular" theme (while it's Corbu-themed outside Eclipse).

Best regards

Uwe

Hi,

You can switch the default theme on system level. By default in many system its corbu and hence it appears that way when it opens via AIE.

In AIE there is no way to change the theme.

Hi Gregor,

the GUI settings have no effect on the Eclipse appearance. As I've said already: outside of Eclipse the Corbu theme is working fine.

BTW: My GUI Version is 7300.1.0.3245. Maybe I should update the GUI.

Hi Uwe,

Navigate to following URL: https://<host-name>:<https-port>/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/wd_global_setting     (Replace host-name and https-port accordingly)
Here there is setting “
Stylesheet URI (WDTHEMEROOT)”. Change its value to sap_corbu.

A new Patch Level made it. I'm now on Patch Level 4 and it works 🙂

The wd_global_settings app is relevant only for webdynpro apps.

Hi,

I mis-understood your question. I thought you are asking about Corbu theme in Configuration Editor inside ABAP in Eclipse.

Hi Uwe,

I just a little off topic , but yesterday I saw your thread so I decided to try Corbu, why did you want to switch? I mean everybody is: "Corbu here, Corbu there", I've tried it and....I found it in some way...ugly...very ugly...

I'ver read

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73ehp1/helpdata/en/13/20a20fb440434da696cb450d2a6bd3/content.htm

But is still don't get the point, what are your impressions?

Cheers!

Hi Luís,

the point is not whether or not I like the theme (I like the theme by the way) but how SAP is handling the themes across the different UI technologies. "Corbu" is the only theme (I know of), which is the same across all plattforms (WDA, UI5, GUI, WebUI(?)).

hmmmmm I see your point, but I have the feeling I'm running something really old...well...just my impressions, I got little frustrated because the enjoy theme was not a big deal and I thought Corbu will be more fancy I mean following the same concept...doesn't give me the "fresh feeling"

In WebUI is also avaliable, for what I've read, but In my current version is not, so I couldn't give it a try, I would love to see the users face in POC.

Hi Luís, I also tried and also found ugly

However, when you use it in Eclipse for example, and open a DDIC view (SE11) and it fits much better to the style of Eclipse than the old themes.

So using in Eclipse it makes sense to use this theme.

I hope not to read the corbu theme is really only for developers because fits better into eclipse and if is yes, definitely would be the joke of the month

Cheers!
