Cheque Printing problem

Hi All,

I have made modifications to my cheque printing layout as my pre-printed stationary dimensions changed from 203 MM * 229 MM(old) to 177 MM * 266 MM(new)

My page format for old cheque is LETTER(portrait) 279 MM * 279 MM. New cheque page format still kept the same...

I am printing my cheque on dot matrix printer. It is giving me a weird problem. Print preview looks perfect. First page is getting printed perfectly and on top of second page it prints 3 blank lines and top of thrid page it prints 6 blank lines and so on... so this is affect my alignment.

Note: I have created a new page format with new dimensions, but still the above problem comes.

Regards,

Steve

Hi Davis,

You can ask ur basis to configure a new output device using tcode-SPAD.And then u need to assign the page format which u have created with that device.

And also check for the alignment.

I think this will solve ur problem.

Rewards if useful..

Thanks for the quick reply, Device is already existing in SAP. I guess there is no need to re-configure it.

I tried using custom page formats too, it did not work.. any idea??

Hi,

The device already exists.I agree, but that is configured with A4 size sheet dimensions,so u need to configure Z-device with the dimensions which u want and then assign the custom page format.

Let me re-phrase my question..

I had a problems in printing the cheques via spool. Let me explain my problem in detail.

Old Cheque: Used to be printed on pre-printed stationary. Dimensions 20.3 CM * 22.9 CM (width and height), Old cheque Layout is using PAGE FORMAT "LETTER" (not used anymore)

New cheque: it has to be printed on pre-printed stationary. New cheque dimensions 17.7 CM * 26.6 CM(width and height). So I have modified the layout of the cheque according to the requirment. ( will be used)

When I am printing single cheque all data is getting printed correctly ... but my problem comes, when I am printing mulitple cheques through spool using dot matrix printer. I am getting the following problem.. for example, I have 10 cheques in spool. When I print all 10 pages....first page prints correctly, when it goes to 2nd page it is giving 3 blank lines on top of pages and printing the cheque and coming to 3rd page it is giving 6 blank lines and so on...

What could be the problem?? how to re-solve it ??

May be your page format is greater than the original cheque(on which you are taking printout). So after printing all the things remaining area of your page format is printing in the second page and so on. So you can just minimize your page height in page format and check. It may be a cause.

Hi Dattu,

Thank you very much for your quick responce.

I have created a page format with custom height and included it in the respected device type.. it still has the problem. Anymore input will be more helpful.

That is fine ... I am telling to format your page format

Now your page format is like

17.7 CM * 26.6 CM

you can try by reducing the height of the same page format like

17.7 CM * 26 CM .like that.
