Hi everyone,
I'm doing some manual prerequisites about an SAP Note and in one of the steps I need to change the Documentation of the Data Element: J_1BNFE_EVE_AUTHDAT. The DE is already created.
I already got the Access Key from Basis to do it, but everytime I click on Documentation button, shows the window below:
Already tried using SE61, but got the same.
I know I can create an Z modification, but I need to save it on Standard Package, so it can't be Z or Y...
Could please someone assist me on this?
Thanks very much in advance.

Hi,
I think it will just create a modification record for the changes you can give a name and proceed. Hope it helps.

Arindam,
I can't use any Z name. If I use an Z name for the modification, it won't allow me to save in the Standard Package. Already tried it.
Thanks for reply.

Hi,
Which particular prerequisite note are you referring to that has a list based on release.

Arindam,
There is a file named Manual_Pre_Impl_Steps_1711095_v3.pdf in the Attachments section on the Note.
I'm stucked in the step 7.5 where I must change the Documentation.

Hi.
I am not able to see the PDF attachment. May be I have authorization issues. It asks for ID/Password after I open the SAP Note. My id does not work. Can you share the PDF?

Arindam

Hi,
Looks like the data type is not open for modification of the text. You can avoid the modification to the documentation its not something a necessity to add the text. That is the documentation that you see when the fields technical info is requested should not impact any functional logic.
Also just give a try my doing this modification in the original language of the Data Element which might be DE.

Arindam

Hi Mauricio,
You can do this via transaction SE61.
Set the correct settings: Document class = Data Element
Specify your language
Fill in the standard SAP element and click on create. In the next screen you can define the dcoumentation devided by:
&DEFINITION&
&USE&
&DEPENDENCIES&
&EXAMPLE&
After creation, don't forget to activate.
With kind regards,
Hanno
