change pointers at rx system

Hi

I have one confusion....Our sending system using change pointer for idoc.....is it necessary to activate the

change pointer for same message type at Receiving system to post the idoc?

Change Pointers is nothing but table entries in BDCPV , whenever change/create/delete happens to the std transaction you have configured.

For receiving IDoc this is not necessary in the receiving system to enable
