Cannot Modify Table

Error occurs when saving or activating the table after changes:

Error in object editing

"Cannot access file /usr/sap/MD7/trans/sapnames/GALT_P"

Path was checked in AL11 and it exist. GALT_P last user who modified the table. User GALT_P does'nt exist in the system anymore.

What could be the problem and what possible fix for this? Thanks in advance!

Hi,

1. Check whether Maintenance is allowed for your table.

2. It has a table maintenance generator and before adding or deleting any field in your table make sure that there is no data inside your table.

Regards,

Amit.

Please let me know if you still face the problem.

Hi Amit,

thanks for your reply. I am still having the same error even I just change the data class... In fact the data class is the only change I need to do in the table. I think any change in the table is not allowed even the maintenance is allowed in the delivery and maintenance tab. Please advice. Thanks Amit!

Mike
