Cannot delete screen (subscreen) fields

Hi,

I have a few fields on a sub-screen that I need to remove. However, when I highlight them and press the right-click button, the CUT and DELETE are grayed out. Also the "scissor" option on the menu bar is also grayed out.

Is there something set that needs to be removed such that these fields can be deleted or removed from the subscreen?

I am NOT in the DISPLAY mode of the screen and am in the editable client.

Kindly,

Salil

There's nothing special with screens of type subscreen, but maybe you are in the modification assistant: then you should have seen a kind of warning when you entered the screen which says that you repair the screen.

So, you are in one of these cases:

1) you modify a standard screen. So, you need to either use (if I remember well) the old text editor (menu settings), or switch off the modification assistant (menu)

2) it's a custom screen, that was transported from another system without changing its original system ID. So, you need either to change the screen in its original system and transport it, or change its original system ID so that SAP don't think you try to repair it.

EDIT: when the modification assistant is on, there is a Delete Element button in the Element List screen, and that's done!
