Can we use EXEC SQL in ABAP

Dear All,

  Can I use EXEC SQL Statement in ABAP.

EXEC SQL
  INSERT INTO MYEMP SELECT * FROM
ENDEXEC

if yes then how & where we can use it.

Hi,

Yes, you can.

Native SQL statements are used to access database tables not defined in ABAP dictionary and hence allow us to integrate data not part of R/3 system.

However,

SAP recommends the usage of ADBC (ABAP Database Connectivity) to access the external DBs.

Yes you can, just perform a search on google like EXEC SQL site:help.sap.com/Abapdocu_731 to find documentation relative to native sql in SAP on-line Abap documentation.
