BOM stands for Bill of Material.

let say car is made of many materials. So car is BOM which contains all materials in it.

so in CS01 you have to upload all related materials in a BOM.

A complete, structured list of the components that make up an object. The list contains the description, the quantity, and unit of measure. The components are known as BOM items.

  • BOM categories

In the SAP System, BOMs can form different objects and manage object- related data. You can maintain the following BOM categories, for example:

  • Material BOM

  • Document structure

  • Equipment BOM

  • Functional location BOM

  • Sales order BOM

  1. Technical types

To display product variants and production alternatives, the system provides two technical types:

  • Variant BOM

  • Multiple BOM

Hi,

BOM stands for Bill-of-Materials. This means a Finished Product usually is the result of many smaller materials called as Components. These Components are referred as Bill of Materials for a Finished Product. To upload data you can use function module BAPI_BOM_UPLOAD_SAVE.
