Its a conversion

conversion is a transfering data from flate file to internal table and interface is transfering data from internal table to sap system.

BDC- It is Batch data communication. Its used for <b>data conversion</b> from legacy system to SAP system.

Hey as per my knowledge BDC is interface.

Interface is the medium of communication between SAP and other SAP or Non-SAP (external) systems

BAPI, IDoc are also Interfaces.

It is conversion.But as you told ,this also comes in mind that this is an interface.

its a convertion program

CONVERSION programs are the ones which have one time usage, usually when a legacy system is being replaced by a system like SAP, then the data has to be mapped from the legacy system to SAP system. Here the data to be converted is given on a flat file & is uploaded to SAP tables mostly using LSMW only. Conversions programs are BDC,BAPI and LSMW programs in which you upload all the related tables from the flat files.Those are one time programs.
