BDC vs BAPI

Hi All,

Now a days in real time do we use BDC or BAPI as an interface.

Can any one pls send me the links to learn BAPI. As i am beginner

to BAPI.

What are the advantages of BAPI compared to BDC.

BDC and Bapi to some extent would serve some similar purpose, but BAPI is more powerful, easy to use and has a lot more advantage as compared to BDC.

For eg - by using a BDC you have to do some extensive coding and might face huge problems during Upgrade. However in bapi u will avoid all of those. Bapi can also used for remote calls as all Bapis are remote enabled.

Please do a search in SDN for BAPI.

Browse through the following link you will come to know of which one to choose when. Given a scenario, if BAPI is available for that program then it is suggested to use BAPI rather than going for BDC. BAPI definitely has edge over BDC as it supports object oriented programming.
