what is the functionality of transaction ME11?

T-code ME11 is for Create nfo Record.

So By BDC u can create inforecord in large volumes.

Hi,

Me11 is for creating Info record.

Info record is the one of the master data of the material management module.

It takes care of the pricing conditions, discounts and relation between the vendor and material.

and this data will be used while creating a purchase order to get the price for the combination of plant, vendor and material.

ME11 is the transaction to create the purchasing inforecord.

purchasing info record: A source of information for the procurement of a certain material from a certain vendor.
