Hi I am Ravindranath,
We are Upgrading SAP 4.0 to 4.7 ,we are in the process of testing the
business in the QAS,there we got one Search-help exit funbction module
not found in 4.7 which has the custome name space then we trasported
that function module from 4.0 to 4.7,but some errors which syntax
errors not supported in 4.7, then i tried to delete that Z Function
Module which attached in the standard function group SDHI,it asked the
access key and i gave that access key then deleted,I think some
programs in the standard function group deleted as well ..since then
its been giving somany short dumps like "Function
module "CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_RANGE_I" not found." and "Function module "CONVERSION_EXIT_ODNIT_OUTPUT" not found."
because of the function group,
could please any one suggest how to recover the function group in 4.7.
thanks in advance

Hi,
I guess the short dumps are in DEV.. since you have the access key, copy whatever is missing in the fnnction group from your QA 47..

HI Ravi,

Good luck,

Hi Suresh,
Yes only 15 min DEV then it directly moves into the QAS,
Basically I am a ABAP developer,i dont have enough knowledge on handling transport requests,
Yesterday my Senior did some repair on the Function group?even though we are getting errors,
Could you please explain me how can I do re-import any of the eralier transports ?
if I do that is there any more problems I get?
Can I get the SDHI function group from any BW server?
Thanks
Ravindranath

Hi Ravi,
Your BASIS folks with their Unix expertise should be able to retreive it from the backup. If you have an external Transport Tracking system, you can apply the previous transport (with the help of BASIS). Ofcourse, you should first be able to identify the Old trnasport requset that is tied to this function group.
Good luck,

Look at the transport and see what objects were transported to QA. You should be able to use version management to retrieve them.
