I could quickly find many relevant answers by searching general definitions in the Web:

Great to see you all.
However, Kindly provide me with the best feedback? In other words, I may rewind this question like Limitations over?
Technically, I would like to know their uses and its limitations, indeed?

as I fear this question will be deleted soon, let me try to explain to you a few things:
1- the subject of the question should be the question itself, and the body all the things you are doing and you have tried/searched to solve it "Basic question" will help nobody if they search for it
2- as Sandra said: there are plenty of pages with this information easily available, you just need to search for it
3- about limitations... well, Paul Hardy summarizes it in each iteration of the International Editable SALV day
https://blogs.sap.com/2021/02/07/international-editable-salv-day-2021-year-13/
I can give you more feedback about your question and how it impressed me, but as you asked just for "the best feedback" I will save you to read it, because it'd be something rude.

any FM --> stop it
cl_gui_alv_grid --> you could edit
salv --> you could not edit, more simple to use

ALV is a concept.
SALV is an API which implements this concept.
I don't understand the question. Could you rephrase so that to make a "best question" so that to provide you a "best feedback"?
