Bar code scanner with SAPUI5 application

Hi All,

I am building a app in SAPUI5. My requirenment is to scan the bar code of the Item and send it to backend system using UI5 application to fetch Item details.

Can i use the native scanner functionality of device in UI5 application ?

To answer your question, yes we can integrate barcode scanner with sapui5 applications.

I don't know if you have found the solution for this, but you can follow the steps given in this blog to integrate barcode scanner.
