Hi All,

Please some one clarify my below doubt,

When we can create Sales order , Material etc., by using BDC ,some time why do we go for BAPI.

here i,am browsing in the forum many people are talking about creating sales oreder, material , Invoces etc., by using BAPI i,am not understanding while we have BDC , LSMW why do we go for BAPI.

If you have ever writen a BDC program in real time environment.. you would have not asked this question...

Anyways: BAPI (Busineess API) I hope you can google about API's

if you can search the forum about diff and advantages of BAPI's over BDC you will find your answer.

majorly,

1-bapi is consistent with sap upgradation

2-bapi is remote enables, which is a strong plus point´, now a days, where web utilities r prominent

pls. search forums with key words of " differences between bdc and bapi".....u can find a lot and lot.

Sorry to say i think you misunderstood my question, i mean to say i have seen in many posts some experts are suggesting people to go for the option of BDC instead of BAPI. why is it so ?

(When they are asking regrading BAPI why would experts are suggesting them to go for BDC is their any reasons). here i got the confusion that's i why i have posted the question.

API's are created to suit most requirements of the businness Orgs and they are also some requirements which API's are not avaliable in such scenario, no other option is left other than to use a BDC.. the post what you are mentioning might be of such type..
