BAPI for changing materail type

Hi all,

Could anyone please tell me is there any BAPI exists for the following process or i need to go for BDC only??

1) For each materail of type ZFHM, i need to change the material type. In order to that, i need to do first

201 (Goods issue) and then change the material type and then do 202(Reversal)..

I can run BDC for this but i wanted to know whether the BAPI ''BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA'' works for the same situation or not or please tell me any other BAPI exists??

Please guide me required Urgently!!!!

Hi,

Do BDC on transaction MMAM to change the Material type.
