B_NOTIF functionality

Hi,

I wanted to know how authorization object B_NOTIF works is there any pre-configuration that needs to be done?........ i have gone through the documentation in SU21 but still i can't get a clear picture.......i need to restrict user access to transactions QM01 i.e only particular users should create notification

Isn't the object pretty straight forward? It has create\edit\display activities so you can restrict creation of notifications or restrict creation by notification types which are maintained in IMG. Just make sure your roles you want to restrict dont have QM01 and create access in B_NOTIF.

Thanks for your suggestions I have assigned that to users but for some odd reasons transactions QM01 and QM02 is not checking B_NOTIF authorization object........
