ALV Text Header Empty

I am producing an ALV grid using FM REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY and a header area using FM REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE. This works fine for every user except me! I can not see the text in the header window, but everybody else can. I assume that this must be down to a difference in the configuration of my pc. Anybody seen this one before? thanks

I know that there is a problem with IE 7.0 and the SAPgui 6.40. And the header uses an HTML container to implement the header in the ALV grid. This could be the problem. Are you running IE 7.0? If so, get the latest patch for 6.40, I believe it is 23.

Based on your description there might be a difference in the <b>patch level of the SAPGUI</b> installation on your PC compared to that on other PC's where it works.

Thanks UWE that is a good thought. I have already proved that this is not the cause. I now think it is more likely that it is caused by me using Windows XP Home Edition where the others are using XP professional but I will not know this for certain unless I do an upgrade. Does anybody have definitive knowledge on this one? thanks

Thanks Rich (and Uwe). I had not considered differences in IE versions, but as soon as you mentioned this I found the relevant SAP note (#950975). Have installed SAPGUI patch 23 and all is fine.
