U can find the sample in the programs BCALV*, the program BCALV_GRID_DEMO shows the most simple alv grid program.

DATA: ok_code LIKE sy-ucomm,

g_container TYPE scrfname VALUE 'MY_CONTAINER',

grid1 TYPE REF TO cl_gui_alv_grid,

g_custom_container TYPE REF TO cl_gui_custom_container.

START-OF-SELECTION.

call screen 100.

MODULE status_0100 OUTPUT.

IF g_custom_container IS INITIAL.

CREATE OBJECT g_custom_container

EXPORTING

container_name = g_container.

CREATE OBJECT grid1

EXPORTING

i_parent = g_custom_container.

CALL METHOD grid1->set_table_for_first_display

EXPORTING

is_layout = gs_layout

it_toolbar_excluding = lt_excluding

CHANGING

it_fieldcatalog = i_fcat

it_outtab = i_final[].

• CALL METHOD grid1->check_changed_data.

ENDIF.
