ALV Grid Control

Hi Gurus,

Can I lay out an ALV grid where the TOTAL number of characters is 750? It has about 40 individual columns all much shorter than 255 Characters each, but the total is 750.

hi,

You can have any number of columns. You can optimize column width to accomodate max.chars.

But the problem is while you try to vie wthe print preview and print it, you cannot accomodate all in one page.

Is there a limitation on how many characters you can put in an ALV grid?

Could something be developed at about 750 characters long and not blow

up? This is Genpact asking me to change printer specs so they'll be able to print a 750 character report. Crazy!

As an ALV, they could download it easily for analysis.
