Hi Experts,

My system's release is 'Component version:SAP ERP Central Component 5.0'.

I have to use the msg type MATMAS for material master data exchange.

In the transaction We82 there is no release as 5 for the message type MATMAS.

The basic types MATMAS01, MATMAS02, MATMAS03, MATMAS04, MATMAS05 are for the releases 30A, 30D, 40A, 46C, 470 respectively.

So can i use the message type MATMAS for the material master distribution?.

What does the release column indicates?

You can use anything.. The difference here is new release basic type may or may not have some of the fields/segments in the earlier version.

In 5 version no basic type is there means there is no change b/w 4.7 version and 5 version. So no new Basic Type is released in 5...

you can use what suits for ur requirement.
